About us

About us

It all started with a group of 7 young sisters in our early college days in the year 2012 at University of Maiduguri. We were quite worried about the state of the community we found ourselves in. They was so much immodesty, immorality, wasting of time, ignorance of basic principles of the deen e.t.c which prompted us to think of starting something that would help call our dear sisters back to the teachings of our deen and likewise help keep ourselves on track.

We began by conducting sisters circle in our faculty masjid. We later on ventured into sharing printed reminders to sisters during friday prayers and in other mosque gatherings, posting reminders on the walls of different mosques, opened a BBM group wherein we sent out daily reminders to our followers e.t.c

The organisation activities didn't start full-fledgedly till 2016 wherein we spread our tentacles to Kano alongside Maiduguri. We then decided to venture into charitable activities in addition to that of da'awah. We had regular hospital visits to attend to the pressing needs of the sick and poor, occasional orphanage visits to show love and care to the orphan kids while helping them with encouraging words, Ramadan feedtheNeedy programs wherein we shared cooked iftar meals daily in some communities and raw food packages in other communities.

We also helped small business owners with capitals to boost their earnings and conducted fundraising activities for people in dire conditions. Our Da'awah activities which are been sent for supervision to Mallam AbuAneesah Yakubu Ibrahim Kano of Zaria State to ensure authenticity and adherence to the sunnah consisted of sharing reminder flyers, compiling beneficial online articles into small books and having regular sisters circles to discuss beneficial topics.

Alhamdulillah by 2018 we became officially registered with CAC as a non-profit body. This gave us opportunity to have more visibility and structure and therefore had members in Kaduna, Abuja, Sokoto and through them we tried to benefit an even larger amount of people. And with the world changing into a digital one, as well as the ever changing circumstances of sisters, we decided to have other activities online that would supplement the ones offline and give opportunity to every sister to benefit. We started online membership through which we got more members and volunteeers. We now have regular online sisters circle on whatsapp, Ramadan reminder series, daily themed reminders, blog articles e.t.c that we share through different social media pages, fundraising activities to raise funds for the homeless, sick, or the helpless people in our community.

By the grace of Allah, from 2016 till date we have 4 Reminders whatsapp groups, almost 500 registered dedicated members and many behind the scene volunteers. Through our Ramadan FeedtheNeedy programs we have supported over 50 families yearly in different states with a month worth of food, we have paid medical bills of poor patients summing up to approximately 1 million naira, we have been able to empower so many women with start up business that are flourishing while others we provided with non-interest loans, we have renovated 3 houses belonging to widows 2 of which were almost completely destroyed by heavy rain.

With the aid of Allah and the noble contributions we receive, we hope to continue bettering the lives of people in the best way we can while following the boundaries set by the sunnah of our beloved prophet (sallahu alaihi wa sallam) in shaa Allah.
